About YourChessMate

YourChessMate gives every chess player the deep, move-by-move game analysis that other platforms put behind a paywall — free, unlimited, and without an account, plus a coach, puzzles, and multi-game trends. Your games never leave your device: the engine runs entirely in your browser.

Engine

Analysis is powered by Stockfish, the world's strongest open-source chess engine, compiled to WebAssembly by Stockfish.js (GPL-3.0). We serve the engine unmodified; its complete source code is available at the link above. Common positions are augmented with deeper evaluations from the Lichess cloud evaluation API.

Data

Opening names come from the CC0 lichess-org/chess-openings dataset. Game imports use the public Chess.com and Lichess APIs. Accuracy and win-probability formulas follow Lichess's published model, so scores are comparable with what you already know.

YourChessMate is not affiliated with Chess.com, Lichess, or the Stockfish project.
